While i like this piece a lot (especially the line 'Beowulf imprints itself upon my cheek instead of my brain'
there's something about it that is a bit off. I think the rhythm needs work, again I'd recommend reading it aloud to see if there's any way you could improve on the general flow of the poem. Also quoting the entire name of the textbook seems like a long winded and a bit unecessary way of putting across a simple idea.
However the imagery in this poem is fantastic!
